TENT 2014

TENT was a brilliant show this year, like last; even though it was that hot people were melting- it was very inspiring all the same.
I took more photos at this show as I felt there was just so much more. It was great for trend research too.

100% Design 2014

I've been down to London for 100% Design and TENT; these are two major design shows, I try to go to every year. I have to be honest; this year I wasn't very impressed with 100% Design.
Here are a few photos from 100% Design.

BunnyBlue

Here's a manipulation I just had to add; as it's such a little cutie. Photos in one colour often have interesting effects; its kinda like the coloured version of greyscale imagery. I love being able to corporate photography into my Design work :)

Historical Patterns

Patterns are all around us within an interior setting whether that be on walls, funiture, fabric or Home accessories.

I recently visited Dunham Massey in Cheshire and took some snaps of patterns around the Old house.

Photo Manipulation

This is where a photograph gets edited and sections manipulated from the original image to create different effects or overall mood of the image. Some appear more simple with slight colour changes but others can appear quite advanced and complex creating whole new graphical style imagery and patterns. Here's a few examples of my Artwork.

Designs and images all copyright Laura Dobson 2011-2014

Relatively simple manipulation- less detail leads to image into a Pop Art style.
'Electronic Splash'- Quite a graphical effect

-Along the lines of Abstract

'Paper Disks'- With an element of dimension & depth

Colour change can have quite a desirable effect :)
